is our Managing Director, runs a very tight ship and if there is anything he doesn’t know about transport…then it really isn’t worth knowing! He has very much a ‘hands on’ role, works incredibly long hours and is totally dedicated to the smooth operation of our logistics business. George is a keen swimmer and visits the local pool almost every morning to limber himself up for the working day ahead.
is the grandson of W.S.Hunt and our Financial Director and Chairman. He keeps a close control of our finance and accounting, works with us on strategic management and is our in house DGSA. Not involved in day to day logistics, he is with us part time whilst utilising his professional abilities in the wider business world.
Malcolm also has a varied non-working life, being a keen Scuba diver, a Harlequins rugby season ticket holder and a fisherman.
is our Operations Director. He is responsible for the scheduling of the vehicles, both National and European, together with being responsible for driver management. He is a keen squash player (and moans about creaky knees). Some of our clients have even battled it out on the squash court with him! He also has a passion for fast cars and sport in general.
is the Transport Manager. He is responsible for assisting Phil with the running of fleet. In his spare time he likes to tinker with computers and Airsofting.
is our Transport Co-ordinator – She is totally dedicated to getting the figures right for the company; from setting up accounts through to invoicing. Caroline has been with the company for 10 years and has a great knowledge of how everything runs. Caroline is a keen baker which makes her very popular in the office
is our Accounts Manager for the Service Station and Transport office. With a background in business organisation, Pat is focussed on providing excellent customer service. She is currently expanding her accounts skills and works closely with our Financial Director.
Nicole didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a Operations Manager, but first started as a White Van Woman driver and progressed from there. Her love of travel meant that as a driver she was able to visit beautiful (and not so beautiful!) places in the UK, and with that experience was able to communicate with drivers and customers confidently knowing their limitations and what can be achieved on the open road!
She enjoys her job as one day is never the same, and whilst Transport can be a stressful environment to work in; having to meet the high demands and standards expected within the industry she thrives on this and can often come up with solutions and ideas that are cost effective and profitable.
Outside of Transport Nicole has one other love in her life, which are her children (the husband a close second!). Once saying “My main purpose in life is making sure my children are happy and safe, hopefully giving them every opportunity to be successful individuals in whatever they choose to be, after all they are her little pension!”.
We have a plethora of drivers – too many to mention individually – however, collectively our drivers are trained and experienced; many have been with the company for more than 10 years and our customers often comment that our drivers are flexible and helpful and their experience is appreciated when on site to collect or deliver.
Charmaine came to the UK from South Africa in March 2020 just prior to the first lockdown and in wanting a role filled with variety has recently joined Hunt’s as our Assistant Bookkeeper.
In her spare time she volunteers as a litter picker, provides part time Caregiving and serves on the Advisory Council of Kairos Prison Ministry UK. Charmaine is looking forward to exploring the UK and travelling.
