HIABS are available for customers who wish to have goods collected or delivered using our on board lifting equipment. Using remote operated lorry loaders / cranes, our drivers are able to position their vehicle to facilitate a lifting method using either straps, chains or lifting beams.
The drivers are competent lifting operators and will assess the situation on site at the time of arrival for any risks or alternative measures required and he will communicate the proposed strategy to the site manager or appointed person.
At W.S. Hunts Transport, we offer excellent transport and haulage services and are incredibly flexible with regards to the services we offer our clients. With this in mind, we also have two different HIAB vehicles in our fleet.
Why use a HIAB?
A HIAB is a truck mounted crane, which means you get all of the transport, lifting and carrying services you need in one vehicle.
You can rest assured that the driver will also be a trained lifting operator. He will arrive at the site and make an assessment to determine your needs, taking any potential risks into account and suggesting alternatives if required.
There are two HIAB hire options at W.S. Hunts Transport:
18T
We have a variety of 18 tonne trucks which carry up to 6 tonnes and measures 6.8 x 2.5 MT.
Max lift of up to 4 tonnes and have reaches of up to 10 metres.
26T
We have a variety of 26 tonne trucks with payloads up to 11 tonnes. It can also lift up to 5 tonnes and up to 12 metres reach.
32T
We have a 32 tonne vehicle with a payload of 13 tonnes and lifting capacity of 6.5 tonnes.
